I am happy to run across this site while browsing the Internet today, so I can share my experience with others who may be going through what I had: I have been dealing with my hair falling out in bald patches, almost like quarter size patches(sometimes bigger), most of the time my hair would grow back normal, but sometimes it would come back in different texture & and even a lighter color! I have asked my friends, family, and even my stylist who usually cuts my hair what could be causing it but no of us really knew. I didn't have any harsh chemicals on my hair(you know, like color, perms, or any of that stuff). I had even made an appointment with the doctor, but the nurse that works in my doctors office told me to try the Dermatologist because I have a expensive co-pay & she thought that I could maybe save time & money by doing that 1st. Well after the stress of all this I figured I would get on the Internet and see if I could find out any information on hair loss and do my own research hair loss, wigs, Hair pieces, remedies, etc... Anything that would give me some good information. Well, you all know that you can't always find exactly the answer you are looking for, or you might think you found a good link to find out that it is just an Ad or something. So I decided to search for salons that might know a something about hair loss and I ran across Hiz & Herz Hair Salon & Mini Spa in Bedford, Indiana. Even though the salon was in a different state than where I lived, I didn't care at this point I was desperate! I would have probably have traveled to Egypt and back to get the answers I was looking for, but thankfully I didn't have to. I picked up the phone and called the number that was on their website, it was about 9:oo at night, I figured they would be closed or I would get a recording like I have all the other places I tried, but to my surprise, they answered, and the lady who answered the phone was the owner plus, she was the one who specializes in hair loss. We got to talking, I explained to her my situation, and she gave me some very good information. I now know that I was suffering from Alopecia Areata. She was very kind and compassionate about my situation and gave me some great resources to help me learn about Alopecia. And one more thing, The owner of the salon called to check on me about a week ago, and I thought that was really cool that she called me back to see how I was doing even though I lived in another state, never met her face to face, and kept her on the phone long distance for pretty long time during our last conversation. She told me that none of that mattered, She just wanted to know how I was holding up. I just really thought that was great! I was never so relieved to finally get to talk to someone that listened to what I had to say, answered ALL my questions, gave me really great advice and certainly cared about me as a person that going through such a difficult time. Thank You Angie! I will always be thankful! |
Indiana Hair Loss Treatment
With all the claims of free, natural and herbal hair loss treatments, how do you really know which is the best air loss treatment? Just because a particular treatment worked for one person doesn't mean it will work for another. Some people have success with laser hair loss treatments, some don't. Other people have success with topical hair loss treatments, other's don't. What works for a man might not work for a woman, so consulting with a doctor can ensure that you can find the right treatment for you.
Treatments for the various forms of baldness have limited success. Some men and women seek out "clinically proven treatments" such as finasteride and topically applied minoxidil in an attempt to prevent further loss and regrow lost hair. It is easier to maintain remaining hair than it is to regrow new hair; however, the treatments mentioned will help some of the users suffering from Androgenetic alopecia, and there are new technologies in IN hair replacement systems and cosmetic transplant surgery that can be completely undetectable.
